All activities at height come with inherent risks. Without these integral risks, the activity would lose its value and appeal. With that said, the owners and staff of High Trek Ventures pride themselves on adhering to industry leading standards for construction, inspection, equipment and staff training. (For more on standards for our industry visit: acctinfo.org).
The course was built by Aerial Attractions, an ACCT accredited vendor, which has been building aerial structures for over 10 years.
Each guest will be given an aerial orientation from trained staff before entering our park. We refer to this orientation as "Ground School". In Ground School, each guest will be introduced to equipment and course procedures from the ground. This orientation will help set up each guests' aerial experience for success.
The lobster claw is the tradition static belay. Two independent carabiners connected to a harness with adjustable tethers allow a participant to self-navigate through a variety of elements and challenges. Great for the participant experience, but the possibility of the user to make an error and double unclip represents a real risk to the operator.
CLiC-iT® is a patented safety system with two communicating connectors. The connectors are synchronized so that opening one connector automatically locks the other one. This technology poses an additional level of safety. At least one connector is always locked, preventing the risk of accidentally detaching from the safety cable. At the heart of CLiC-iT® lies a simple and reliable mechanism that has paved the way to a groundbreaking continuous belay product.Smart belay systems like the Clic-it Smart Belay address this flaw by incorporating a locking mechanism that only allows one carabiner to be open at time.
Guest can quickly master the use of this system during ground school time, but at the same time be assured they will be safe during their visit.
