"For the past three years our school has enjoyed using High Trek Adventures for our middle school retreat. Our students really enjoy the variety of team building and leadership activities that the counselors provide, along with making the day fun for everyone. The highlight is the rope course in which the counselors are very professional in their training and safety when teaching the students the skills on how to be successful on the course. Our students come away feeling accomplished and stronger in their roles as school leaders. I would highly recommended using this venue for your school retreat."

The modern adventure park has become a frequent destination for both public and private schools. Not only does High Trek Adventures have the largest adventure parks in the state, it also rigorously adheres to the latest ACCT standards (Association for Challenge Course Technology). Our parks have an annual third party safety inspection and while our max participant weight is 265 lbs., the course is rated for 5000 lbs. Once a participant is clipped into our system, they are not un-clipped until they reach the ground and are "keyed out". We invite you to come and try out the course for yourself to understand why even a 4 year old can independently experience our Cadet's Course. To better understand our cable system and equipment, we recommend you visit our equipment page.

When you arrive at High Trek Adventures, your leader will first visit our reception center. Our staff leader will then welcome your group to the park. If you opted for team building activities, we will usually divide into groups and rotate through those field challenges. For those doing the ropes course, your students (and participating chaperones) will be rotated by group to get harnesses and receive our "ground school" safety briefing (20-40 minutes depending on the size of the group) on how to zipline and climb on our high ropes course. Participants will then have 1-2 hours (depending on package ordered) of developmental team building activities utilizing the “Challenge by Choice” principle. Participants will be given the opportunity to traverse different obstacles of varying difficulty with their classmates. During this time, they will work together to overcome challenges, inspire each other to face fears, and leave with a better understanding of themselves and their peers
Both! We provide your school with a “Before the Trip” and an “After the Trip” questionnaire to give your students. This is very helpful to get the students to learn about themselves and their classmates, improve on their teamwork skills, and gain self-confidence which will help them take more risks when they need to do public speaking, creative writing, and scientific experimentation. However, all of this learning will take place while they are having an amazing time. Some will even say it was their best day ever!
Yes, waivers are required. We offer a secure electronic waiver solution. As the event date approaches, the organizer will have access to our waiver management tool and be able to see who has completed their waiver and who has not. If a few students are still missing waivers on the day of, it is usally not a big deal. Most parents can quickly complete the waiver from their remote phone, laptop or desktop and it will appear in our system immediately.
