Spring/Summer 2023

High Trek Adventures is currently seeking eligible outdoor enthusiasts for the position of Customer Care Representative (a.k.a. Air Care Reps). This position requires outgoing, adventurous, and safety conscious individuals. Air Care Reps are responsible for communicating with and overseeing guests during their experience while on the Ropes Course to ensure an unforgettable and safe adventure. They will go above and beyond to encourage and inspire customers to overcome challenges. This is an active outdoor position that not only involves engaging with guests for safety and guidance, but also daily course inspections. Air Care Reps enjoy helping people, love the outdoors and the thrill of working at heights.

Position: Customer Care Representative - Course Practioner

Responsibilities Include:

+Fit helmets and harnesses for guests and familiarize them to the safety equipment they will be using during their experience.
+Conduct training sessions on the ground before customers enter the course.
+Conduct safety demonstrations for guests and consistently assess the needs of each guest while on the Course.
+Engage and build a relationship with guests while on the course.
+Supervise the use of all safety equipment
+Provide and document thorough daily inspections of the zip lines, ropes course, course elements, safety equipment, and opening and closing duties of the Course
+Operating the Zipline activity including performing assists, retrievals and rescues.
+Attending required trainings and meetings.
+Promote a safe and enjoyable attitude at all times amongst guests and staff to ensure a positive lifelong memory.
+Assist in grounds and course maintenance as needed.
+Assist with special events as needed, including travel to events, and sales efforts.
+Complying with and enforcing the policies, procedures, and regulations of High Trek Adventures.
+Assist with any other duties that may be assigned.

To be considered these qualifications must be met:
+18 years of age or older
+Ability to engage with guests of all ages in individual and group settings while being creative and personable
+Commitment to safety and attention to detail
+Must have excellent verbal communication, presentation, and customer service skills
+Must be able to assist guests up to 265lbs from the Zipline cables and pass a physical fitness test.
+Have full range of motion and the ability hike, climb, rappel, and assist guests at heights
+Must have evening and weekend availability and flexible weekday availability
+Must be able to perform all job functions for long periods of time in all weather conditions at heights
+Ability to pass first aid training course, CPR training course, and site specific Zipline course training
+Prior ropes/climbing experience is preferred but not necessary

Physical Requirements:
+Candidates must have the physical capability to maneuver themselves as well as assist and accommodate participants of various sizes throughout the course, including rescue scenarios.
+Must be able to walk, stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours
+Must be able to work at various heights
+Must have full range of overhead arm motions and full hand dexterity
+Requires visual acuity and the ability to hear clearly in an outdoor environment
+Must have a strong upper body to pull self and be able to pull and push participants weighing up to 265 lbs along each cable and platform's incline.
+Must be able to effectively decrease the speed of and stop participants of various weights and speeds as they approach all incoming platforms.
+Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat, stretch, push and pull on a regular and continuous basis.
+Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
+Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs on a regular and continuous basis

Work Environment:
Each Air Care Rep is required to work in a fast-paced, physical, social, professional and team oriented work environment. The majority of the work is conducted in climates from 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, in the wind, rain and sun.

Hours:
This position can require full time (30-40 hours a week) during the high season (Late Spring & Summer) and abbreviated hours during the shoulder seasons.

Hours of employment are dependent on business demands. There are opportunities for special events and we are also looking to train some staff members that are looking for more flexible hours and more on demand scheduling opportunities. You let us know when you are available to work and we will try to schedule events around your schedule.

Training:
Training will be required. We will work with candidates to try to find training schedule that will accomodate the most people. Training will be 4-5 days and you will earn your Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) - Level I Practioner Certification.
